  • Subscriber Signups: At different times, we may offer visitors to our site an opportunity to join our email list. (Note: In order to protect our business under GDPR restrictions, we won't be accepting subscriptions from people from the EU however). When offered, if you voluntarily opt in to join our email list, we will collect your first and last name, email address, and job title. By voluntarily joining our email list, you agree to receive regular emails from us on leadership and management topics. We will also send you information about our paid products and services that we believe may be of interest to you.  You can unsubscribe at any time from our email list by selecting the ‘unsubscribe’ link that appears in every email we send. Automated marketing activities for our email list are provided by Drip. Drip uses cookies to track your interactions with us. This tracking information may also include personal information such as your country. Other examples of tracking activities include the following: whether you open the emails we send you;  whether you click the links contained in the emails; how you move around our Site when you are using it, etc. We use this information to customize your user experience and make the emails that we send you more relevant to your actual management and leadership interests.   • Patron Relationships: You can become a patron of this site via Patreon and access restricted membership content. In order to enable you to use this website with Patreon services, we save certain functionally-important Patreon information about you in this website if you log in with Patreon. These include your Patreon user id, Patreon username, your first, last names and your vanity name. Additionally, the id of your campaign at Patreon and your campaign's Patreon URL are also saved. If you request that your data be deleted from this website, this data will also be deleted and Patreon functionality will not work. You would need to register on this website and log in to this website with Patreon again in order to re-populate this data and have Patreon functionality working again.
  • Third Party Analytics Providers: We use third parties to help us operate and improve the Service. In doing so, we may share with these third parties non-personally identifiable information about your use of the Service. These third party providers also use cookies. We do not control information collected by third parties and we are not responsible for their use of that information.We use the analytics providers Google Analytics and the JetPack Plugin by Automattic to create a better user experience. The JetPack Plugin provides information on post and page views, outbound link clicks, referring URLs and search engine terms, and country. Jetpack also tracks performance on each page load that includes the Javascript file used for tracking stats. This is exclusively for aggregate performance tracking across Jetpack sites in order to make sure that the plugin and code is not causing performance issues. This includes the tracking of page load times and resource loading duration (image files, Javascript files, CSS files, etc.).
  • Website Security: Website security and data protection are provided to us by Defiant Inc. This includes website firewall protection, block brute force attacks protection, malware scanning, and live traffic viewing.  Defiant automatically collects user search queries and the date and time of your request and referral URL. Depending on the settings of your computer or mobile device (“Device”), Defiant also automatically collects: IP address; MAC address; Device make, model and operating system version; mobile network information; internet service provider; browser type and language; country and time zone in which the Device is located; and metadata stored on the Device.  When permitted, Defiant may collect data about your geographic location through GPS, beacons and similar technology.
